At Emmitsburg Tattoo Company, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned and operated tattoo shop located in the square of the charming, downtown district of Emmitsburg, MD. We opened our doors on November 5, 2015.

Emmitsburg Tattoo Company is a place for all who are looking for a unique tattoo experience. Our studio is dedicated to providing clients with tattoos that are not only beautiful and meaningful, but also safe and professional.

Our tattoo family is made up of experienced and dedicated tattoo artists. Combined we bring over 20 years of experience to the industry. At Emmitsburg Tattoo Company, we are passionate about giving back to the community and honoring those who have served and protected us. We value and respect the strength of first responders, military, and other honorable individuals as they are our family too!

Currently, we do not offer piercings or jewelry.
We will not tattoo minors regardless of parental consent.

DON SONN
Owner and Lead Artist of
Emmitsburg Tattoo Company.
Don became interested in art at a young age. As so many others, he was influenced by fantasy and record cover art, rushing home from school to watch Bob Ross on PBS. Relocating to Maryland after high school, he decided to sleeve his arm, leading to spending requisite time in the tattoo shop. In 2003 Don began apprenticing in Hanover, Pennsylvania under Charles Freeland. He has developed his craft learning many styles of tattooing a street shop environment will provide. Longevity, clarity of image, and clean solid lines with black shading have remained the goal, continuing his personal artistic development.

After years of developing his craft, he and his wife opened Emmitsburg Tattoo Company in November 2015 to build the shop he has always envisioned-a personal, friendly and professional environment in which clients feel comfortable and always welcome. Hope to see you soon!
RAE HARMAN

Rae had aspired to become a tattoo artist beginning in grade 6. All of the subsequent years of school were spent pursuing and refining her art skills. Courses including; Advanced Art I & II, Honors Drawing & Painting, and AP Studio Art. She graduated high school with a completer course in the Visual Fine Arts program from The Arts, Humanities, & Communication Academy.
Beginning as a client of Don on her 18th birthday through a recommendation, she immediately felt comfortable with the shop environment. She and Don decided to pursue her apprenticeship at Emmitsburg Tattoo Company. After beginning her apprenticeship in 2018, she officially began pursuing the craft of tattooing, even becoming her own first client!
2020 saw the end of her apprenticeship. Rae officially entered the next stage of her career as a skilled tattoo artist.
Now Rae sees clients on the daily offering a wide range of techniques and skills to craft your next vision.
